Final Days of Summer

With only a couple of days of summer vacation left we decided to visit the Waterpark one more time. The waterpark was definitely one of the hi-lights of our summer! Molly was much braver this time and even went underwater a few times! It was a fun day!

Molly Fair

We went to the Hancock County Fair and enjoyed all of the festivities a fair can offer. We shared a milkshake and an elephant ear. Toured the cow barn and saw a sheep getting a haircut. This was the highlight of Molly's night. She even got to pet some bunnies and try out a John Deer tractor.

"School"

Molly has really been enjoying school lately. She is excited to leave the mornings that we go to school. I've kept her going one day a week in the summer. In August she will go back to 2 days a week. She loves her teacher Miss Emma. She especially loves Miss Emma's back rubs. She even asks for Emma sometimes before nap or bed when she wants her back rubbed.

Notice Pup is in 2 of the 3 pictures! I hope we never loose it! I'm SO glad she's a happy girl at School. It makes for a happier Mama too!

A Visit with Aunt Jane

Molly had a long overdue visit with Aunt Jane this week. They enjoyed lunch at O'Charley's and came back home to read some books. For the first time, Molly really came out of her shell and warmed up to Aunt Jane. She sat on her lap, and even gave her some hugs and kisses!

Carousel

Molly loves riding the Carousel at the Children's Museum. This is something she usually does with Josh, but I got to take her today! She has her own "white" horse that she rides named Joybell. She also likes to ride the giraffe.

Josh even got her a White Horse to remember Joybell! We had a good time!

Parade

We began our 4th with a neighborhood parade...the same parade I used to ride my bike in 20 years ago...bittersweet!
We invited Courtney and Isaac to join us which made everything more fun.
Here Molly is on Isaac's bike, we decorated them too!

A firetruck lead the way. After the parade the kids got a chance to take an up close look!

We barely squeezed the parade in before it started raining. It was actually sprinkling during it. The rest of the day was gloomy and rainy. Molly was not a fan of the "boom" from the fireworks. They kept her up late even though the offical ones were canceled! It's 11:30 and they are STILL going.

Happy 4th!

You would never know it was the middle of the summer based on the weather here. We are having temperatures in the 60's and 70's! It may not be swimming weather but perfect park weather. We took advantage of that and headed to Southeastway Park.
